James Feldkamp

Bio

Now retired, Feldkamp began his career as a navigator flying the EA-6B aircraft for the U.S. Navy before transitioning to a Special Agent with the FBI.

He was later recalled to active duty by the Navy, where he assisted in establishing an international office to facilitate information-sharing between U.S. and foreign governments to enhance maritime safety and security.

Feldkamp has authored several books and taught counterterrorism courses at universities in and around Washington, D.C. He holds a master’s degree in international affairs and is recognized as an expert in terrorism, world history, and military affairs.

Since retiring, he has circumnavigated the globe with the Clipper Round the World Race (2019-2022), searched for treasure off the Spanish Galleon Atocha in the Marquesas, and works as a freelance copy editor for Reedsy.
