Jill Alblas BA(Hons), F.E.T.C.

Jill has very extensive and varied teaching experience. This includes teaching Btec and A’level students in further education and holding workshops and training sessions for clients in the UK, Europe and Russia. She has also worked as a craft instructor on P&0 and Fred Olsen cruises for approximately 5 years.

Jill has also designed art and craft kits for a number of major clients including WHSmith, Avon, Early Learning Centre and Disney.

Her designs are published regularly in Crafts Beautiful, Make Jewellery and Simply Homemade. Her work has also featured in Homemaker and Sew and she has contributed to a number of books including ‘Kirstie Allsops Craft’, ‘Tildas Homemade Ideas’ and ‘Cards and Crafts for Christmas’.

Jill has also presented on numerous occasions for the Create & Craft and Jewellry Maker t.v. channels and demonstrates regularly at the NEC trade and Hobbycraft shows.

With many years experience in the arts and crafts industry, Jill is able to present an exceptionally wide range of crafts to passengers. With an emphasis on quality materials and interesting projects the classes are planned with the following aims:

To enable beginners to gain confidence and achieve beyond their expectations.

To offer scope within each project for the more confident and experienced to develop their skills.

Classes which Jill can offer include, glass engraving, wood carving, silk painting, glass painting, ceramic painting, jewellery making, mosaic, napkin decoupage, card making, candle decorating, stencilling and spray painting on fabric.
