After more than 20 years in the legal profession Rebecca finally left the rat race to pursue her passion for crafting, particularly jewellery making. Since that time she has run her own craft supply shop and continues to run “Rebecca Burns – Craft Workshops” hosting jewellery making parties for all ages and abilities, demonstrating crafting to women’s groups; she is also involved in charity work particularly for local, Breast Cancer support groups. Having now returned to the UK in recent years Rebecca took her crafting skills abroad and worked in Europe, primarily Greece where she lived for several years.
Rebecca’s style of instruction is friendly and informal, using the many samples of her work to enable “absolutely anyone” to create their own piece of work. Her business cites “come and discover your creativity” as she firmly believes that with support and encouragement anyone, of any age or ability, can create and craft. She also firmly believes that in doing so participants are enthused to try other activities and discover the therapeutic properties of crafting.
