Julie Stokes is an American artist born in Arcadia, California and now resides in Glendora, California.
She has two grown sons and two grandchildren. At an early age, she developed a love for the arts
including drawing and painting and graphic design. As a young mother working for someone else she
realized, she could not grow as an artist. That realization prompted her decision to become an
independent entrepreneur. Ms. Stokes is a trained Wilson Bickford teacher and the love for her craft
soon inspired her to follow her passion to teach painting.
As an entrepreneur Ms. Stokes has created four businesses:
1995 – present Julie Designs
2005 – present StrengthInUs
2011 – present Jules Art Studio Mobile
2015 – present Artists’ Boutique
Her artist enterprises feature not only the Wilson Bickford technique, but her personal creative style which complements that training. Her paintings are featured at the Artists’ Boutique Gallery in Glendora, California and can be seen on Fine Art America and in many homes in California and Arizona.
After several years of teaching in her mobile business, Ms. Stokes opened the Artists’ Gallery in
January of 2015 and developed a training program which inspires students to develop their skills at
their own pace. The facility is whimsical, warm, and comfortable—a place where friends and family
can learn and share their creative experiences. The development of confidence in students also allows
that confidence to be translated elsewhere in their lives.
Creating a number of enterprises takes commitment, hard work, and vision. Ms. Stokes has that vision
and her passion, purpose, and optimism are clear. She continues to change the lives of those who cross
her path.
