My art career started when I attained a BA in Illustration and Graphic Design.
After college, I was employed as a commercial artist designing greetings cards and giftware. However, gaining in confidence, I decided that teaching was my passion and taught Art and Design to A-Level students in a College of Further Education.
I have now taught adults for many years in various different groups, where abilities vary from complete beginners to the more experienced artist. The development of their skills gives me tremendous gratification.
I also organise painting trips for my students to various places of interest, including the Yorkshire Dales and Cotswolds.
I have developed my own style of watercolour painting and collage art. My collages are mainly of animals and birds that are now becoming collectable.
I give collage demonstrations to art societies throughout the Midlands and organise collage workshops which prove to be very popular and enjoyable for those attending.
My work is displayed in shops and galleries in the Midlands.
