My love of drawing and painting started from before I was even in secondary school, I started by copying the works on Monet and Vincent Van Gough. Finding the beautiful colours in their works and recreating their art works.
My Art And Design Training Started out as a graphic design student. I later did a BA in Printed Textiles. My passion and inspiration for art and design comes from nature finding the beauty in colours and patterns and then creating a surface design. My designs get put on fabrics, bags, cards and stationary.
I have taught adults and teenagers the art of printing, both screen printing and lino printing, drawing and painting and love seeing people learn a new skill and have such joy from this craft. I like to think creativity is within any one. My classes do not require us to be an impressionist artist, they just require a smile and passion to do something fun and learn a new skill. I love seeing a smile on student’s faces when they have created a print, and a design that can be used again and again on any surface. We can come away making post cards, tote bags and even printed T shirts. You can even take your lino cut home with you to carry on creating more designs.
